Holding the site together

A couple of entries recall a dismissed banner and a display setting so reviews render consistently from page to page. Remove them and the site misbehaves mildly. Nothing personal travels inside them.

Counting heads

Which reviews get opened, roughly how long they hold somebody, and the broad region a visit came from. That count decides which brands go back on the bench first. Nobody is named or tagged.

Crediting sign-ups

A commercial link causes the brand to set its own file so a later registration is credited here. It obeys their policy rather than ours and reveals nothing to us about your account once you are inside.

Turning them off

Any browser will block or clear the lot, and this site continues working. Blocking the headcount costs you nothing whatsoever. Blocking attribution costs us a fee and costs you nothing, which is worth stating rather than hiding.

If a fourth appears

It gets written onto this page before it runs, not once somebody notices it in a developer console.
